ADELANTO: Man escapes burning home

An Adelanto man escaped unharmed from a fire that destroyed his house, despite the lack of a working smoke alarm, say San Bernardino County Fire Department officials.
The blaze was reported at 8:31 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, along the 15000 block of Kingford Avenue.
