A murder charge was filed Friday Aug. 10 against a felon with a violent past being sought in the slaying of his girlfriend, a Canyon Lake woman whose body was found Wednesday inside a suitcase left in a Poway motel room, the Riverside County District Attorney’s office said Friday, Aug. 10.
